The Coen Brothers received some positive feedback in the news last month, when it was announced that they would be writing the script for Steven Spielberg’s next movie, starring Tom Hanks. Talk about a Triple Crown of Cinema, right?
Well, it doesn’t seem like the sibling writing/directing duo plans on limiting themselves to any one project in the near future.
Deadline reports that Universal Pictures have acquired the rights to the Coen Brothers’ latest original screenplay, Hail, Caesar! Along with it comes the news that both George Clooney AND Josh Brolin will star in the film.
Neither actor is a stranger to the Coen’s, as Clooney starred in movies like Burn After Reading and O, Brother, Where Art Thou?, and Josh Brolin in the Oscar-winning No Country For Old Men.
Deadline also give a little taste of what the plot for Hail, Caesar! will be, describing it as:
about a fixer in Hollywood circa 1950s who works for the studios to protect the stars of the day.
What do you think? Are you excited to see the Coen’s teaming up with Clooney and Brolin?
