While it’s still at least two years out (tentatively set for May 2016), we are slowly learning more and more about Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman, the follow-up to 2013’s Man of Steel. We’ve received plot hints and character details, and even the fact that previously-cast actors Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot will all be shooting together in Michigan.
Now, it seems that a fourth hero has been officially cast for Bats vs. Supes, and it is yet another connection to the seemingly inevitable Justice League film we are all waiting for. Variety reported today that the character Cyborg will be a part of the movie, and he will be played by Ray Fisher.
Fisher has previously portrayed famous boxer Muhammad Ali in the play Fetch Clay, Make Man. A relatively unknown otherwise, this follows the pattern of the previously-mentioned Cavill and Gadot, who, compared to a guy like Ben Affleck, will be interesting to see take on a major character like Cyborg. (Hey, Cavill got a lot of good feedback as Superman, so star-power doesn’t always count for everything). Fisher also recently auditioned for a role in Star Wars: Episode VII.
What do you think about the casting of Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg?
