Full List of 2014 Academy Award Nominations

The list of 2014 Academy Award nominees has been revealed!  Following the Golden Globes this past weekend, the list of Oscar noms looks fairly similar.  American Hustle and Gravity lead the list with a remarkable 10 nods each.  Some of the films getting recognition here are somewhat surprising, but agreeable.
I’m happy to see personal favorites Iron Man 3, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and Star Trek Into Darkness.  Even the very recently released Lone Survivor is up for two awards.  One of the biggest snubs was Ron Howard’s Rush, which didn’t receive a single nomination despite being nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Picture.  Another being Michael B. Jordan’s captivating performance in Fruitvale Station.  So let’s get down to it, here is the complete list of 2014 Oscar Nominations:

Overall, pretty agreeable list of nominees this year.  Still upset that Michael B. Jordan’s performance in Fruitvale Station and Ron Howard’s Rush got unbelievably snubbed.   Don’t get me wrong, Captain Phillips was phenomenal, but I think there should’ve been a little wiggle room in there for other films.

What do you think of this years Oscar nominations?  I’ll be posting my predictions list closer to the show.
